When I came to work in the art studio here at Garrett, I met a young student by the name of Carmanie Bhatti. She’s very passionate about art and social justice. In the course of this brief period, she lost her mother. I watched her bravery through her sadness. She showed me her poetry and wallpapers. I chose one to represent for her in her mother’s honor.
